Hi, I’m Angela Holland, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a passion for helping people reconnect—with themselves, with others, and with their purpose.
I work primarily with individuals who want to understand their emotions, break free from old patterns, and create more secure and authentic relationships. Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck—often carrying trauma, unresolved attachment wounds, or struggles with substance use. I help them uncover the root causes of their pain and guide them toward healing that lasts.
My approach is emotionally-focused, attachment-informed, and trauma-sensitive. I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients process distressing memories and subconscious beliefs that keep them in cycles of self-sabotage, shame, or emotional dysregulation. I also specialize in working with substance use issues—not just as a behavioral problem, but as a deeply human attempt to cope, numb, or regulate an overwhelmed nervous system.
My goal is to help you feel more grounded, self-aware, and empowered to live a life that reflects who you really are—not who you had to become to survive.

I’ve been practicing therapy for over 20 years. Early in my career, I provided outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment for clients struggling with addiction. That experience gave me a deep respect for the courage it takes to face pain head-on and begin the work of transformation.
In 2015, I opened Restart Counseling in my hometown of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, with the intention of offering compassionate, high-quality care in a space where people feel safe to do the hard and meaningful work of healing.
I believe therapy should be more than symptom management—it should be a process of becoming more fully yourself. I don’t just help you “fix” a problem. I help you understand where it came from, how it’s shaped your life, and how to rewrite the internal story that’s been holding you back.
Whether you’re processing trauma, navigating anxiety, breaking free from addiction, or simply wanting to feel more whole, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your path toward healing.
